Stewart’s Melville RFC is delighted to support the inaugural Schools Rugby 7s Festival being hosted by Erskine Stewart's Melville Schools, bringing together teams from across the region for what promises to be a fantastic day of rugby.

Schools taking part include Dunbar, Royal High, Kelso, Merchiston, and George Watson’s College, with a full programme of fast-paced sevens matches scheduled. First matches kick off 9 am - finals a 11.40 am.

With both girls’ and boys’ fixtures taking place, the festival is a great celebration of the continued growth of the game and highlights the strength of school rugby within the local community. Events like this play an important role in creating opportunities for young players to experience the excitement of rugby sevens while building connections across schools.

The club is proud to be involved in supporting the event alongside Edinburgh Napier University, helping provide a platform for the next generation of players to showcase their skills.

The festival will also support My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, raising awareness for the charity’s work in funding research and supporting those affected by motor neurone disease.

Everyone at Stewart’s Melville RFC wishes the organisers and participating schools a fantastic day of rugby and looks forward to seeing plenty of exciting action on the pitch.
