There will be two games at Inverleith this Saturday, 10th September.
On Pitch 1, the 1st XV will take on Kelso, kicking off at 3 pm.
Kelso sit seventh in the league at the moment, losing heavily away to Hamilton on the opening day on the season then beating Watsonians convincingly at Poynder Park last week.
It remains to be seen which Kelso team will turn up on Saturday – please be there to find out, and to cheer our boys on as they try to make it three wins in three games.
The other home game sees the Mighty 3rd XV take on league newcomers Haddington in their opening league fixture.
The 3s have opted for a new management set up this season, with a group of 11 brave men taking on the task of getting teams together. A ‘Fantasy Stew Mel Manager’ competition will underpin this, with the managers earning points based on results, points scored, cross kicks completed and the like.
Rooky Crooky is the man in charge of mustering the 3s this week – please be at Inverleith by 2.30 pm if you’d like to take part.
The only away fixture this week sees the undefeated 2nd XV travel west to play Glasgow Hawks at Old Anniesland. This will kick off at 1.30 pm (kick off brought forward as one of the Hawks coaches is getting married on Saturday). The bus through will leave at 11 am – please assemble at Inverleith by 10.45 am if you’d like a lift.
I’m going to be in deepest West Yorkshire for the next five days, so please be patient if the website is a little less active than normal – am not even sure they have electricity down there, to be honest!
Will get caught up next week if all else fails.
