Today Could Be The Greatest Day Of Our Lives

Accies v Stew Mel 2009 063

With all due respect to prior Red, Black and Gold warriors, Saturday 5th April – 3 pm @ Lasswade RFC – is what it all comes down to for a place in the Premier Division of Scottish Rugby. And what better than a match against our neighbours Edinburgh Accies.

Much will be written on Accies’ decline this season, but let’s be under no illusion: they are a British & Irish Cup team this year, so represent a massive increase in pace , power and skill compared to what we are used to. They, quite naturally, will start as firm favourites on Saturday.

The boys and coaches have trained well over the last week or so, and are fully focused on their shot at glory; I am sure you will join me in wishing them well.

I appeal to those who live locally to please come down to Lasswade and support the boys. Let’s get fully behind them as they aim for the promised land.

I would also like to invite you back to Inverleith post match from 1830 hours, where – win or lose – we will have a good old fashioned knees up and celebrate what has been a fantastic season for the whole club.

I would also like to pay thanks to all our sponsors:

Can we assume that Accies will be denied the services of the 3 or 4 professionals they have been using
    for tihis play-off fixture ?
