Stew Mel Rugby

Stewart's Melville College

Alma mater, and the source of many of the fine young players that grace the turf at Inverleith. Respect is due!

FP Club

A direct link to Ernie Wilkins' corner of the main Stewart's Melville College site (above).

FP Golf Club

The FP Golf Club continues to thrive, despite the fact that Fraser Pollock recently won the Club Championship! With its 125th anniversary on the horizon (in 2012), the Club now has its own website.

Stewart's Melville Royal High Cricket Club

Or SMRHCC to those in the know. Nice web site devoted to some bizarre Summer sport involving willow trees, cream teas and massaging your genitals with leather. Allegedly.

Edinburgh Rugby Referees Society

A really useful site from the local office of the Men We Love To Hate. Check out the 'Resources' section for thumbnail maps showing directions to every club ground in Scotland.

The SCRUM

The new monthly club rugby magazine from our good friends at Bell Johnstone Communications. With Nosebag and Black Al working for them, heavy Stew Mel coverage seems likely!

Scottish Rugby Radio

A free radio station offering unparalleled coverage of the Scottish club rugby scene. A new show is aired on Sky TV Channel 0195 (and online) every Monday night, while additional online channels provide Special Features, Reports and Interviews.

Rugby Excellence

Rugby Excellence have delivered youth coaching clinics around Scotland for 18 years, and at Stewart's Melville for the last ten years. They will be running clinics at Inverleith at Easter and Summer 2008.

The David Azhar Appeal

David broke his neck playing for Whitecraigs RFC in 2001. This resulted in the loss of movement in David's limbs from his shoulders down. The David Azhar Appeal was established on 8th October 2002 with a clear purpose - to transform David’s life.

The Caledonian Brewery

The other pride of Edinburgh. The only thing wrong with Inverleith is that they don't have a Caley 80/- tap on the bar.

The Olive Branch

A splendid new restaurant in Broughton Street, run by 1st XV scrum half Stu Thom and his wife Kerry. There's also a deli of the same name down at Howard Street in Canonmills.

Both offer top-notch Mediterranean fare in relaxed surroundings and at reasonable prices.

Tribe Tattoo

Wholly unofficial tattooist to Stew Mel FP RFC. But ask for Morag, and she'll do you a lovely Lions logo like the one above. They're up in West Nicholson Street, opposite the Pear Tree.

Ripping Records

Need an excuse to miss training? Then go to a gig! These boys, based on South Bridge, are Edinburgh's concert ticket vendors of choice, and lovely blokes, to boot. John's a card carrying Nail, but please don't hold that against him!

The Upper Crust

A slightly superior rock band for a slightly superior rugby club. Don your periwig, and I'll see you in the Posh Pit.
