The DSMC 1st XV of 1978

Here's another superb flashback shot from the Hughes Archive. This time around, the backdrop is the old Pavilion at Inverleith, the date is April 1978 and the coaches are the legendary Gilbert Parkhouse and Paul 'Forni' Caton. The 1st XV were about to play the final match of a season in which their record was Played 22; Won 22. The team's captain, Chris Spence, has now turned his hand to coaching, and is currently hoping that the team he oversees will finish this season with a perfect record, too ....
