Match Report
Taken (unedited!) from the weekly Linlithgow
RFC email newsletter:
"It is unusual to record a draw, especially with identical
scores of four tries (with bonus points) and one conversion
each in what was a game marred by some controversial refereeing
decisions. The first half saw Andy Wylie scoring yet another
try, Chris Ronalson converting, to a try by the opposing
flanker, Hartley. 75 up at the turn.
"Stewart's Melville turned the game around taking
them into a 175 lead with tries from Weasel and Sullivan
and it took the efforts of two older heads who came on for
the Reds in the second half to steady the game. Playing
off Scotty Oliver, John Smith scored two tries, and the
scoring was rounded off by one from front row Pete Edment.
Stewart Melvilles big lock, McLean, also scored."
