A super response this week - thanks to everyone who has
replied. This week we had an incredible 17 forwards and
12 backs looking for a game (Graham M has a couple of mates
keen to play in the forwards, in addition to those listed
above!)
Unfortunately, I will not be able to get everyone a game.
To be honest, having spoken to groundskeeper Willie, it's
highly unlikely the game will go ahead. I will try to let
you all know by 10.30 on Saturday morning if it is off,
given the early kick off.
If the game is off, I think it would be good to have a
few beers enjoying the 6 Nations. I'm open to suggestions
as to the venue, and will text everyone in the morning with
the most popular choice.
As far as I'm aware we can take five subs. I think it makes
sense to take two backs and three forwards. Fraser and Doc
have said they would fill in if we were short, but are happy
not to play if numbers are good.
I plan to start with the first seven backs and eight forwards
named, so if any of the benchers - particularly in the forwards
- would like a week off, please let me know. Please don't
all say you would, though, as it would be daft to
waste such a good turn out.
See you on or off the pitch tomorrow (12.15 at Invers if
the game is on, please).
