Fund Raising Events

The Sportsman's Dinner on Friday 29th November was a great success. Over 140 attended and our guests included David Gray; Jim McKenzie (Chief Executive, Edinburgh Gunners); and Colin Thomson (SRU Under 18 Age group Manager). Jim Calder was our master of ceremonies for the evening. We were entertained by three guest speakers; Stuart Coull, Billy Lyall and Bill Barclay.

Through the auction and the raffle we managed raise considerable funds. We are busy collating the money but we think it will be in the region of £5,000. This will ensure that the majority of all the travelling, clothing and accommodation costs of the boys will be covered. Pillans and Wilson produced a wonderful programme for the evening and for the players to sell to family and relatives for £3. Each boy has to sell at least 10 programmes.
